Exactly what you expect. Long wait after you're seated but very good food and tons of appetizer side dishes.

A must try. Go in with a friend or 6 and order some combos to share on the hot side. Definitely more of an experience on the hot side with the charcoal grill in the center of the table but either way the flavors and accompaniments are fantastic.

Excellent BBQ! The flavors were terrific, and the service was good (with an attitude--which I like). Traditional, with an array of variety that make Korean BBQ what it is. The atmosphere was smoky and intimate. Best I've had in Baltimore City so far. They even have a parking lot!

Absolutely outstanding charcoal Korean Barbecue. The steamed egg is on a whole other level from anything I've tried, the wait staff are friendly, and the air is cozy and warm. All in all a great experience I will definitely be coming back for again.

One of the best Korean BBQ places I’ve been to in Baltimore. Amazing staff and an all around great time.

Best Korean BBQ in Baltimore. Service was great and fast for late night meal. Plenty of free parking on the side of the building. A+++

I loooove this place, but the staff is very overwhelmed on the Friday and Saturday nights. They need to hire more people. If you go there any other time, the food is delicious.

We came down to Baltimore for restaurant week, but didn't find anything that stuck out, so we decided on Korean BBQ. I'm so glad we did! The restaurant has two areas, a BBQ area and a non BBQ area. Just walking past the huge bowls of soup makes me want to come back and try them, but we we're here for the BBQ. The staff was quick the food was amazing. They have combos that you can get, like most Korean BBQ places. The spicy pork and pork belly melted in my mouth. Entire experience was heavenly.Must. Go. Back.

The surroundings looks a little bit shady. But the food is Great. Highly recommended if you prefer Korean Food.

Very disappointed at the service. They use to be very kind and quick about everything. Guess it's time to try different restaurants ~

Food is so good here id recommend it. I forgot to take pics but they have really good black bean noodles.

Came here after reading the reviews. Good food, price is very affordable, but you should either drive here, or take Uber/Lyft, probably not safe walking on the street.(The photo was taken after I started eating 😊)

Though I originally took two-stars off, I gave back one because of how they have their hot rice water (which is unique for a korean restaurant in the Baltimore area). The food is fine, but it's still pricey for what you get for the buck and that's why I had taken two stars off. Overall, it's not a bad place if you're in the area and are craving some korean food; just get ready to pay a good portion if you're getting their korean BBQ.

I've got a long term love relation with Jong Kak. The first time I came here was over 7 years ago and I absolutely loved it. This is the second time I've been here and I just say it's still as amazing. The only complaint I have is they use lighter fluid to get the coal going and it's a bit too potent.

I visit this restaurant quite a bit! This is the best place to eat. I go to this spot many times. The food is excellent, the workers are welcoming and the price is good. I enjoy meeting in this spot to have a rich lunch.

Great - didn't have barbecue though - had seafood Bim Bap

Place has been around a long time. Needs a good facelift as it seems so dirty. Old sticky tables. Wont even mention the restrooms. But... food is Good. Not great. Good thing most of the guests have been drinking all night.

The food here is good and I like their service.

I have always wanted to eat at a Korean BBQ spot...i have to be at school at 830am...got off of work at 3am...i only went for a co workers birthday... got home at 430am. The food was so good and so fresh it was well worth it. I cannot wait to tell other people about it and go back for a second time...its kinda expensive but amongst a few people it should be fine. Low key clean close at 4am good food. You can't beat it with a stick.

Jong kak is one of my favorite restaurant for Korean good in Baltimore and I go more often with friends and colleagues, They have good food and drink menu and the service is really good as well, its really get busy most of times! Ambiance of restaurant can be much better!

Jong Kak is delicious! They are one of (if not the only) Korean bbq in the area to use a charcoal, rather than gas, grill. It is great for groups and late at night. I will certainly be back.
Tim Jurasevich
They use charcoal instead of gas. It makes a huge difference in taste, by far the best in the area. You’ll also be served a ton of sides - at least a dozen! You’ll never go back to gas powered Korean BBQ ever again!

Good legit Korean food for a reasonable price. Both the BBQ options and non-BBQ options are delicious and authentic.

Great charcoal style Korean BBQ restaurant, left the place without having a strong BBQ smell on my clothes. Meat combo's were moderately affordable and good quality. The fried dumplings and the seafood buchimgae were delicious and great sides with the rest of the meal!

Surprising good Korean BBQ in downtown Baltimore. Meat quality was pretty good and the service was friendly and entertaining. Having their own parking lot is definitely a plus in Baltimore.

This spot is the one I always prefer. I visit many restaurants but to this one I go the most. The crew is very welcoming and the cuisine they cook is so yummy. I am always happy to have a decent meal in this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Gets very busy around 7 and you may be left on your own for a bit but the food is amazing.. they don't really allow grillng on your own but what else can you do lol. The little dessert drinks served with the check are deliciousness!!!

I should've trusted other reviewers. This place has decent food but nothing great. Meat was good, specifically jumuluk. Soups (soondooboo, doenjang jigae, kalbi tang, maeuntang) were average. We went on a 90 degree day and I couldn't believe there's no ac in this place. They had a couple fans running. There were flies around and just felt a little dirty.

Really great experience in this family-owned vibe Korean bbq restaurant. The service was excellent, and almost everything tasted great. The half Jong Kak combo 1 was more than filling for two people. Overall, would return again.

It's delicious if you really enjoy meat but it's kind of expensive. It's for not regular visits. The half barbecue really serves 2-3 people, if there's nobody super hungry. In this case, I'd order an appetizer first. They offered an yacult in the end. The cold sake is good but the Kloud beer is bleh. Anyway, worth the visit and maybe come back.

The food was good. The service need to improve.

I'm not really familiar with Korean food but this restaurant has tables with grill or like ours. For the longest time I wanted to try jajangmyeon...they had it. I was Satisfied with it but definitely going to try other restaurants to see wich one is better
Andrew Millman
Great food, cool atmosphere. Service could be a bit better but it's not bad

Disappointed... I have been there for 2yrs and find the food quality is decreasing. The pancakes was over cooked. And when I mentioned to the waiter, he didn’t care and said it should be normal. 1 star for that. Other dishes we had are not impressive, 3 star for that.
Brandon Huang
Good beef choices. Not very big but good four four people for whole meal.

New owner taste not like before

We usually come here for the karaoke on the second floor but the kbbq is terrific. Just be aware you will leave here smelling like delicious grilled meat...

The pros of the restaurant -they are open late everyday (till 4am)-they have a very wide variety of menuThe cons: -there service is not that good (the waitresses aren't very nice, they take forever to give us the side dishes, water, etc.) -when we ask for something (napkins, silverware (bc it was missing)) it takes forever for them to come (they don't even respond to the bell that we are supposed to push when we need something)-the food isn't THAT good (maybe this is because I am from a place where there are a lot of Korean restaurants competing with each other...so food quality it good)

Not a bad place to try an authentic Korean food occasionally. I tried fried pork and tofu hot pot soup. It was not bad at all.
